Oklahoma's only municipal hatchery, provides 1.2 million fishes annually for the city's fishing lakes. Species include walleye, striped bass, sunfish and channel catfish.

This hatchery is part of the City of Oklahoma City's Parks and Recreation Department. It is located just north of the Lake Hefner dam on the north side of W Hefner Rd. The hatchery now has 6 one-acre ponds.
The area is also a boon for local wildlife. It is usual to see deer browsing on the vegetation between the ponds, and many waterfowl raise their young on the property. When I was there to take pictures for this waymark, there were a good number of Canada geese and their goslings around the ponds, and I could see an egret standing just onshore of one pond.
