Ringsted Station is originally a station on the Roskilde-Korsør railway, which was opened on 27 April 1856. The current station building dates from 1924.
The Køge-Ringsted line (4 August 1917 - 31 March 1963) also used the station. [1]
June 1, 1924 opened the 1st stage of Sjællandske Midtbane between Ringsted and Næstved. It still exists and is part of the Sydbanen to Rødby Færge. The central line was extended north to Hvalsø on 15 August 1925 and on to Frederikssund on 17 November 1928, but these lines were closed as early as 15 May 1936.
On 31 May 2019, a new high-speed line, which Banedanmark had built between Ringsted and Copenhagen via the new Køge Nord Station, was inaugurated. Source - Wikipedia
