A bench to commemorate the centenary since World War I, has an artistic silhouette backrest and is located in the Royal British Legion Garden of Remembrance situated in Bath Gardens, Bakewell.

This bench was installed in the Royal British Legion Garden of Remembrance to commemorate the centenary since World War I.

A brass plaque on the back of the bench is inscribed as follows;
'2018
Commissioned by the
Bakewell and District Branch
of the Royal British Legion,
from donations by
residents of Bakewell.'


The bench was manufactured by Roll and Scroll Engineering, based in Grantham, Lincolnshire.

The bench is constructed from black steel. The backrest has an artistic silhouette design that incorporates the images of the Armed Forces, a cross, barbed wire, two doves and poppies that are painted red.

The words 'BAKEWELL, 1918 REMEMBERS 2018' are situated around the images on the back of the bench.
