Location Details: The IJmond Lodge was founded on February 7, 1921. The Kennemerlodge in Haarlem was their mother's lodge at the time. On October 5, 1922, the IJmondloge no. 40 was founded and the Odd Fellows Velsen got their first meeting room at the Oranjestraat no. 2 A red in IJmuiden. This was an upstairs room of Hotel Nommer Één that they had renovated and furnished themselves.
During the war (1940-1945) this building also had to be demolished by order of the occupying forces. After the war they were given temporary shelter on the grounds of the Driehuis-Westerveld crematorium.
And on December 8, 1950, a space in the former Central Kitchen in Abelenstraat in IJmuiden could be put into use.
On December 12, 1962, the building at Stationsweg 95 was purchased from the Rosicrucians, which was officially opened on April 29, 1963.
When the North Sea Canal was widened in 1968 and this building had to be demolished, temporary accommodation was found on 18 September 1968 in a space in the Braambos at Zeeweg 284 in IJmuiden.
On May 8, 1969, the current building was opened as a new building, at Stationsweg 95 in Velsen-zuid.
