The station was open on 11 November 1994 as part of the extension of Line B (III.B.) from Nové Butovice to Zlicín. The built-up area of the metro station is 49 698 m³. From the station is possible to change to the city and suburban transport. Entry and exit of the station the entrance is via stairs or elevator for wheelchair users.
