På Kirkedøren til Gudme Kirke er der et meget specielt dørhåndtag som er spiralformet. I den ene ende afsluttes spiralen med en blomst med fire kronblade. Samme blomst ses på dørbeslaget. Dørhåndtaget er sort og lavet af smedejern.
Alderen er ukendt. Kirken er fra omkring 1200tallet, men egertræsdøren med dørhåndtaget ser ikke så gammel ud. Kirken er restaureret flere gange, og det er formodentlig i den forbindelse at egetræsdøren med det spiralformede dørhåndtag er isat.
At the church door to Gudme Church there is a very special door handle which is spiral-shaped. At one end, the spiral ends with a flower with four petals. The same flower is seen on the door bracket. The door handle is black and made of wrought iron.
The age is unknown. The church is from around the 13th century, but the oak door with the door handle does not look so old. The church has been restored several times, and it is presumably in this connection that the oak door with the spiral-shaped door handle has been inserted.
