Dieses Geisterrad steht an einer Landstraße in einem kleinen Waldstück oberhalb von Bonn-Muffendorf. Es gibt hier zwar einen von der Straße getrennten Radweg, die Straße ist aber kurvig und unübersichtlich, eine kleine, schlecht einsehbare Stichstraße kreuzt hier den Radweg.

Dies wurde offenbar dem Radfahrer Karl-Heinz Böhmer am 27.07.2015 zum Verhängnis, der hier im Alter von 50 Jahren einen tödlichen Unfall erlitt. Das Geisterrad steht an der Kreuzung etwas abseits der Straße an einem Baum. Davor steht ein Holzkreuz und ein Grablicht.

Außer den Informationen auf den am Geisterrad angebrachten Schild und einer Traueranzeige des General-Anzeigers habe ich leider keine näheren Informationen über das Leben von Karl-Heinz Böhmer oder den Unfallhergang finden können.
This ghost bike is on a country road in a small wooded area above Bonn-Muffendorf. There is a cycle path here that is separated from the road, but the road is winding and a small, poorly visible cul-de-sac crosses the cycle path.

Apparently this was fateful for the cyclist Karl-Heinz Böhmer on July 27, 2015, who suffered a fatal accident here at the age of 50. The ghost bike is at the crossroads a little off the road on a tree. In front of it is a wooden cross and a grave light.

Apart from the information on the sign attached to the ghost bike and an obituary notice from the General-Anzeiger, I was unfortunately unable to find any more detailed information about the life of Karl-Heinz Böhmer or the course of the accident.
