Our favorite resort with wide range of choices for room and friendly family-like personell. Superb beach just in front of the hotel and a few Thai reastaurants, a Thai Buddhist meditation center, and the convenience store 7/11 are nearby.

Our description:
'Kiang Talay' means "Near Sea"
We have been coming to Rayong for a few months from Bangkog during covid times. Most restaurants and hotels are half empty but opened and all the more beutiful for nature, beaches, quietude. This has been one of our favorite resort for a superb price 490 BHT for a large family bedroom. Always friendly personell and the family of the owners. They also treat their personell well, even during covid times with no foreing tourists they kept them employed, just with a bit lower sallary. So the personell is happy and even keeps coming to work for free.
Superb beach just in front of the hotel and belongs to one of our favorite segment. Sevral Thai reastaurants were opened again even in the covid times with virtually no visitors and convenient 7/11 are nearby.
They are also good for hygene and covid-safety. After one family from Bangkok was covid-positive they have closed for 21-days for sanitation.
Google reviews give them 3.9 stars, mainly because of things like poor design of electric plugs (indeed inconvenient). But our experience of dozens of stays 5 stars.
