DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1972 (ILC) THE STATION, ROELAND PARK MUNICIPAL TANK, IS THE CENTER OF THE TOP OF AN ELEVATED WATER TANK, PAINTED BLUE AND IS SUPPORTED BY TEN TRUSSWORK LEGS. THE STRUCTURE HAS AN OVERALL HEIGHT OF 130 FEET, A CAPACITY OF 500,000 GALLONS AND IS LOCATED AT THE JUNCTION OF 48TH STREET AND 48TH LANE IN ROELAND PARK, A SUB DIVISION OF KANSAS CITY. THE TANK IS OWNED BY WATER DISTRICT NO. 1 OF JOHNSON COUNTY.
