There are multiple parking areas along Sandy Ridge Trail Road. Do not drive past a gate without a sign stating that motor vehicle access is permitted. (Unless you want to be able to tell an "I got locked inside and then was fined for it" story.)

State Game Lands No.33, comprising 17,583 acres, is located in southwestern Centre County south of Philipsburg. The terrain is primarily high plateaus, and is primarily forested. Several small trout streams traverse the property. The most prevalent wildlife species are bear, deer, turkey and ruffed grouse.
