Station De Vink is a railwaystation on the railwayline between The Hague and Leiden. What is special about the station is that the east platform is on the territory of the municipality of Voorschoten and the west platform on the territory of the municipality of Leiden. From 1906 to 1928 there was already a station a little further north. The current station was opened in 1985 under the name Leiden De Vink. This was around the time the Stevenshof neighborhood was being built on the west side of the station.
The name of the station comes from a hamlet that used to be here. The building "De Groote Vink" a little further in the direction of Leiden station is also a reminder of this.
