Located in the Veterans Park section of Laishley Park in Punta Gorda, Florida is a half scale replica of the Vietnam Wall. Throughout the park area and leading up to the Vietnam Wall are numerous memorials honoring those who served in our armed forces. This Vietnam War memorial plaque is located on the approach to the walkway in front of the Vietnam Wall replica. It was placed by the Knights of Columbus, Ponce de Leon Council #8074 of Punta Gorda.

THEY SERVED, THEY FOUGHT, THEY DIED...AND RECEIVED NEITHER THEIR COUNTRY'S GLORY NOR THEIR COUNTRY'S COMPASSION. MAY THIS PLOT OF GROUND SERVE AS A SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO THEM. VIETNAM 1959 - 1975
