"In het ontwerp van de Koreaanse beeldhouwer Lim Dong-Lak is een grote glanzende bol het hoofdonderdeel van het beeld “groeipunt”. Uit de glanzende bol ontstaat een robuuste rank, even grillig als het leven zelf. Stoer trotseert het weer en wind om aan de top als een drie-eenheid de bladeren te laten ontluiken.
Een beeld van binnenuit dat zich manifesteert als een symbolische verwachting naar de toekomst. Krachtig geeft het vorm aan ons bestaan. Een beeld in het hart van Ede, waar we wonen, werken en bidden, winkelen en plezier maken. In de glanzende bol zien we onszelf opgroeien en weerspiegelt het de seizoenen, de wolken voortgedreven door de wind, de zon en de maan. Dit beeld heeft zijn plaats in de ruimte en weerspiegelt de ruimte eromheen, zodanig maakt het onderdeel van tijd en ruimte en verovert zo zijn plek.
Een markant kunstwerk in de stadsbeeldentuin van Ede waar we ons dagelijks in kunnen spiegelen en de wereld om ons heen zien veranderen."

"In the design of the Korean sculptor Lim Dong-Lak, a large glossy sphere is the main part of the sculpture “growth point”. From the glossy sphere arises a robust tendril, as capricious as life itself. Tough defies the weather and wind to the top like a trinity to make the leaves bud.
An image from within that manifests itself as a symbolic expectation for the future. Powerfully it shapes our existence. An image in the heart of Ede, where we live, work and pray, shop and have fun. In the shining sphere we see ourselves growing up and it reflects the seasons, the clouds driven by the wind, the sun and the moon. This image has its place in space and reflects the space around it, thus making it part of time and space and thus conquering its place.
A striking work of art in the urban sculpture garden of Ede that we can reflect in on a daily basis and see the world change around us."
