Descriptif

Un document de 1156 confirme le droit de patronage de l'abbaye Saint-Bavon sur l'église paroissiale. À terme, il y aurait une église cruciforme à nef unique avec une tour de passage octogonale. Au XVe siècle, un bas-côté sud, un chœur latéral sud et un nouveau bras de transept sont construits. Le chœur principal a également été agrandi et la tour a été surélevée et dotée de trous de réverbération gothiques.

En 1891, l'église a été restaurée sous la direction de Hendrik Geirnaert.

Descriptif

A document from 1156 confirms the right of patronage of the Abbey of Saint Bavo on the parish church. Eventually, there would be a single-nave cruciform church with an octagonal passage tower. In the 15th century, a south aisle, a south lateral choir and a new transept arm were built. The main chancel was also enlarged and the tower was raised and provided with Gothic reverberation holes.

In 1891 the church was restored under the direction of Hendrik Geirnaert.
