The bird viewing screen has been designed in such a way that recreational users with a wheelchair or scooter can also use it. The location of the screen is special: it stands on the head of an old foundation of the pumping station on the Bosmankade and on the Natura2000 Plas Broekvelden and Vettenbroek. This area has been designated as a Birds Directive area for the target species of swan, wigeon, gadwall and shoveler.
