This waterfall was created in 1918, to funnel overflow water from the nearby Erie Canal into Sandy Creek. It is part of a larger park, with picnic tables and hiking trails, and the trails link into the much longer trails alongside the nearby Erie Canal. The waterfall itself is about 40 feet high, and has about 10-12 "steps".
