Das Marienkrankenhaus Hamburg (Kath. Marienkrankenhaus gGmbH) ist ein Krankenhaus der Schwerpunktversorgung im Stadtteil Hohenfelde, Alfredstraße 9. Träger ist die ANSGAR GRUPPE gemeinnützige GmbH, ein Verbund der katholischen Krankenhäuser Marienkrankenhaus Hamburg, dem Kinderkrankenhaus Wilhelmstift und dem Marien-Krankenhaus Lübeck.
Jährlich werden an die 100.000 Patienten versorgt, davon 30.781 stationär, 365 teilstationär und 67.641 ambulant. Das Marienkrankenhaus verfügt über 605 Planbetten und 28 teilstationäre Behandlungsplätze. Die Klinik ist akademisches Lehrkrankenhaus der Universität Hamburg.
Geschichte
Das Marienkrankenhaus wurde 1864 von Schwestern des Ordens vom heiligen Karl Borromäus in der Langen Reihe gegründet. Es ist damit das zweitälteste Krankenhaus in Hamburg. Im März 1882 zog das Krankenhaus in das von Martin Haller errichtete Gebäude an seinen heutigen Standort in der Alfredstraße in Hamburg-Hohenfelde. Die Skulptur der Maria über dem Haupteingang wurde von Ludwig Kunstmann geschaffen.
Nach mehreren Neubauten ist das Krankenhaus im Jahre 1911 mit 800 Betten das größte Privatkrankenhaus in Hamburg. 1913 wurde eine eigene Krankenpflegeschule gegründet.
Das Marienkrankenhaus wurde immer wieder um Neu- und Anbauten ergänzt. Seit 2000 wurden neue Räume für die Neonatologie und das Zentrum für Präventivmedizin in Betrieb genommen. 2007 wurde das Interdisziplinäre Notfall- und Operationszentrum eingeweiht. 2010 konnte in diesem Gebäudetrakt die neue Intensiveinheit eröffnet werden. 2016 wurde der neue Zentral-OP mit insgesamt 9 OP-Sälen eingeweiht.

The Marienkrankenhaus was founded in 1864 by the Sisters of the Order of St. Charles Borromeo in the Long Row. It is the second oldest hospital in Hamburg. In March 1882, the hospital moved into the building erected by Martin Haller at its current location on Alfredstrasse in Hamburg-Hohenfelde. The sculpture of Maria above the main entrance was created by Ludwig Kunstmann.
After several new buildings, the hospital is the largest private hospital in Hamburg in 1911 with 800 beds. In 1913 its own nursing school was founded.
The Marienkrankenhaus was always supplemented with new buildings and extensions. Since 2000, new rooms for neonatology and the center for preventive medicine have been put into operation. In 2007 the interdisciplinary emergency and operations center was inaugurated. In 2010, the new intensive unit was opened in this wing of the building. In 2016 the new central operating room with a total of 9 operating rooms was inaugurated.
