This sundial on the village green was erected for the millennium.

The dial is mounted horizontally on a stone pedestal. An engraving on the dial indicates that it was made by Silas Higgon.

The townships of Cocwick and Snaith were joined in 1851 and an inscription on the pedestal has the following information.
This sundial was provided
by the People of
SNAITH & COWICK
in the year 2000
to celebrate
the MILLENNIUM
