"Mt Airy Lanes was purchased by Joe and Kaye Rineer on September 1, 1976. In 1978 they received the call that everyone fears, the building had caught fire due to lightening. The community was at the door ready to help. Thanks to all of the friends and volunteers the doors were reopened within 6 months."
