Walking Beam is a nanobrewery operating on a single barrel system. They produce about a half dozen (+/-) of their own beers and they also try to have something in a barrel. Nothing outrageous, and there'll be a few common styles along with the likes of a sour or some kind of experimentation. In 2019, they had a Belgian Patersbier, for example. They also have a few guest taps and a nice selection of bottles/cans from breweries across the country, including some ciders and kombuchas. They also have a nice wine list and a fully-stocked bar as well as the usual soft drinks.

Of course, they have appetizers, and while they do have sandwiches, including burgers, sliders, bratwurst, croissants, and calzones, their pizzas are probably their most popular offering. You can always roll your own or pick from one of their prefab pies, and since they're using a 700 degree pizza oven, they'll warn you that crust charring is typical. If you still have room after all that, try the Chocolate Chip Brownie Tower and pair it with something dark and roasty.

For the most current information, check their website, and you'll find details about Happy Hour and daily specials there and up on the monitors where you'll also find the current microbrew menu. Their beers are well-made and the service is outstanding. They do offer free, secure wi-fi -- there are a few outlets up front, but your best chances to plug in are below the bar -- and there's plenty of space. You're in a beautiful old building with vintage ceiling and a rock wall. Out back is The Doghouse, a covered patio with picnic tables, and there's where you'll enjoy the live entertainment when it's happening.
