Hvisselhøj er en unik jættestue beliggende i Alsbjerg Bakker i Han Herred. Landskabet er i dette område præget af flere gravhøje.
Der er 29 jættestuer med to kamre i Danmark – heraf 25 i Nordjylland. Men Hvisselhøj er Danmarks eneste jættestue med tre kamre bygget på samme tid og forbindelse mellem kamrene. Den stammer fra bondestenalderen og er altså ca. 5500 år. Det første kammer er 8 m langt. Det andet er 4½ m, og det inderste er næsten 2 m.

Jættestuen blev udgravet i 1915 af Gustav Rosenberg, og i 1987 blev der lavet afstivning, så det er sikkert at gå ind i den. Medbring lommelygte, så I rigtig kan se det flotte bygningsarbejde med de kæmpestore sten. Foruden knogler fandt Rosenberg ravsmykker, lerkar og flinteredskaber.

Hvisselhøj is a unique passage grave located in Alsbjerg Bakker in Han Herred. The landscape in this area is characterized by several burial mounds.

There are 29 passage graves with two chambers in Denmark - of which 25 in North Jutland. But Hvisselhøj is Denmark's only passage grave with three chambers. It dates from the Peasant Stone Age and is thus approx. 5500 years. The first chamber is 8 m long. The second is 4½ m and the innermost is almost 2 m.

The passage grave was excavated in 1915 by Gustav Rosenberg, and in 1987 bracing was made, so it is safe to enter it. Bring a flashlight so you can really see the beautiful building work with the huge stones. In addition to bones, Rosenberg found amber jewelry, pottery and flint tools.
