This whispering gallery is located outside of the Imagination Station above the courtyard overlooking the Promenade Docks.

Make new friends! These enormous dishes transmit your conversation (or even your whisper) friend to friend across a great distance! The parabolic shape of each dish amplifies sound by reflection. Incoming sound waves reflect from the surface and are focused to a single spot called the focal point.
When you speak or whisper toward a dish at the focal point, the sound waves reflect off the surface and travel in the direction the dish is pointing. The waves travel behind you and are collected by the other dish.
These incoming sound waves are then reflected to the focal point where your new friend can hear them. Dishes this size, when properly aligned, can focus and reflect sound waves over 300 yards, or 3 football fields!
