Opened in 1999, the Galway Atlantaquaria showcases the biodiversity of both the freshwater and marine ecosystems in and around Ireland, from montane streams and rivers, to tidepools and the deep sea. Animals encountered here include sharks, eels, octopus, cuttlefish, and jellyfish.
