Foxes are generally shy, but while they tend to do their hunting in the dark, they occasionally pop out of the woods, and if you're quiet, they'll put on a show. In this part of Texas, you're more likely to see a Red Fox if you see one at all.

This sign provides a nice photo of an active Gray Fox, with an inset of a Red Fox. It also provides a physical description and some background as to their eating habits and lifespans. Their paw prints are depicted as well: Compare them with the faux footprints you see in the pavement, giving the illusion that one of the foxes from the nearby sculpture left them.
