The Stations of the Cross on the grounds of the Mount Schoenstatt Movement's San Antonio property in Helotes, TX at 17071 Low Road, Helotes, TX 78023. This set of Stations of the Cross is a meandering oblong walking path among a grove of cedar trees that begins near an informational sign pointing out this is the Stations of the Cross. Both Station 1 and Station 14 are within just yards of the entrance to the Stations' circular pathway. You end up just steps from where you start.
Each Station of the Cross is made from wooden boards fashioned into a house-shaped box with an open front. Small metal medallions/icons are attached the the back board and above each figure representing its respective Station's activity is the Roman Numeral of that box. The Stations are generally mounted along the path alternating on the right side and left side for most of the trail. Most are easily viewed while still on the trail, but a few require a step or two off trail to be in front the some Stations. The ground is fairly flat and safe to walk in comparable shoes.
The artist of the 14 iconic figures is not given. Most of the Stations have small metal plaques naming a dedication to an individual or a family group, but no sponsorship is attributed to these names.
