Parish Church of Santa Maria Assunta
The church of Santa Maria Assunta of Brando is one of the three religious buildings built in the Parocchia (parish or pieve) southeast of Castello. It is the parish church of Brando, replacing the ancient pieve Santa Maria di e Neve. Its pediment is decorated with the episcopal coat of arms. The bas-relief presents the episcopal attributes, mitre, banners struck by the Cross in clever plant interlacing.
Only the part of the wall located to the south of the nave of the chapel is classified as a World Heritage site. It supports frescoes representing a Saint Catherine and a monumental Christ. These monumental paintings of St. Catherine and Christ dated from the fourteenth century are also classified MH.
