They accept cash only here. There's a sign in the window by the entrance that most will miss, but they'll be nice about reminding you when you order. You can get breakfast all day, but lunch is only available from 11 AM to 2 PM.

This is a small building in downtown Dallas, practically sitting in a parking lot and dwarfed by a much larger building. You're a little over a block from Dealey Plaza -- the site of the JFK Assassination -- and there is plenty to do in the area. For those who ride public transit, DART operates buses throughout the city, and the closest light rail station is West End Station, just a few blocks away.

They're a pretty popular breakfast location, especially since the courts are right across the street. Seating during peak hours can be difficult, but they do take carryout orders. There are a couple of tables and nine seats at the counter. There's an old fashioned letter board with the menu, but they'll happily give you something to hold in your hands (see gallery) so you're not peering over someone's head as you decide what's to eat.

Breakfast is primarily egg dishes, including omelets and breakfast burritos, but they also have pancakes. "No substitutions," but you can certainly do side orders of toast. Check their menu for the lunch specials, but your choices are hamburgers and sandwiches with fries or onion rings. For beverages, it's soft drinks, coffee, and hot chocolate, and for dessert, you can take your pick of chocolate cake, lemon cake, or pecan pie. Service is pretty good, but depending on their load, you may have a little bit of a wait. The food is good, and it's not difficult to get out of here for under $10 unless you have dessert. Then, under $12-$15.

They really don't have an Internet presence: Their Facebook page last saw action a decade ago, and everything else are review sites. Above the grill is a sign that says "No Wifi. Speak Amongst Yourselves."
