About the statue
The statue of Gandhi is made from bronze and depicts Gandhi walking with a walking stick in his hand. The statue was unveiled in 2016 by the ambassador of India and the mayor of Utrecht.
On the plaque of the statue is written a quote by Gandhi:
"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever."
