In it, the Duke Charles (later King Charles IX) ordered to be beheaded 14 nobles at once. The heads of the beheaded were nailed to the roof of the town hall and allowed to rot there as food for the crows. But on Christmas Eve, these heads, nailed in November, began to sing some psalm. Turun kaupungin nykyisenä raatihuoneena pidetyn Brinkkalantalon vieressä on vanha raatihuone vuodelta 1726.
