This Rhode Island and Massachusetts border crossing is along Route 121 between Cumberland, RI, and Wrentham, MA. The rolling route -- a rural two-lane highway -- passes by single family houses among mature trees at this boundary close to the northeast corner of The Ocean State. To the south it is known as Wrentham Road in Rhode Island and Cumberland Road up north in Massachusetts.
Heading north, two signs flank the east and west edges of the road: "Entering Wrentham - Inc. 1660" and "Welcome to Massachusetts" respectively. Southbound on the west side of the road is a "Welcome to Cumberland, Rhode Island" sign. The speed limit is 35MPH and there's a decent shoulder to pull over for quick snapshots.
