Her Findagrave page suggests the possibility that this headstone was moved here in 1896, but her remains may be a little closer to the old part of Olney. Then again, moving bodies and headstones in Texas is common, especially to create lakes. Sometimes they move just the markers, sometimes, everything moves. They'll have to break out the high-tech equipment to be sure, but the cemetery marks this as a burial.

The sandstone grave marker has an accompanying footstone, and while it's quite weathered, its inscription is still fairly legible:

Nannie S.
Pillow

B 4 19 1852
D 3 25 83

------

Complementing her headstone are two marble markers that could have been put to use as footstones. They each have arrows pointing towards Nannie's headstone, and they read:

First Grave in
Pioneer Cemetery

----------

Nannie S Pillow
Apr. 19, 1852 Mar. 25, 1883

She died on a wagon train
coming through the country
Her husband & children went on.
