Dit monument op het kerkplein in Oudenhoorn herinnert aan twee omgekomen inwoners tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Naar beide slachtoffers is ook een straat vernoemd.

- Bastiaan de Zeeuw is 2e luitenant bij de Nederlandse Infanterie. Na de capitulatie op 14 mei 1940 weet hij krijgsgevangenschap te ontlopen. Hij besluit naar Engeland te gaan, waarschijnlijk om zich aan te sluiten bij de geallieerden. Hij komt in het Franse Duinkerken terecht, waar hij zich op 20 mei inscheept op de "Pavon". Een paar mijl buitengaats wordt het schip door Duitse vliegtuigen aangevallen en tot zinken gebracht. Deze tragedie kost aan 50 Nederlandse soldaten het leven, waaronder ook Bastiaan. Zijn lichaam spoelt tweeëneenhalve maand later aan op Terschelling. Bastiaan de Zeeuw is slechts 24 jaar oud geworden.

- Cornelis Blaak is piloot bij de KLM tijdens het vooroorlogse Fokker-tijdperk, waar hij voornamelijk vliegt op Batavia en Bandoeng. Tijdens de oorlogsjaren wordt Cornelis gedwongen om voor het KNILM te vliegen op de luchtlijn Java-Australië. In februari 1942 moet Cornelis met zijn Dakota een noodlanding maken op Zuid-Sumatra. De bemanning blijft vrijwel ongedeerd, maar valt in handen van de vijandige Sumatranen en later in die van de Japanners. Als gezagvoerder overlijdt Cornelis ter plaatse aan door inlanders toegebrachte verwondingen. Hij is 43 jaar oud geworden.

This memorial on the church square in Oudenhoorn commemorates two residents who died during the Second World War. A street has also been named after both victims.

- Bastiaan de Zeeuw is 2nd lieutenant in the Dutch Infantry. After the capitulation on May 14, 1940, he manages to avoid captivity of war. He decides to go to England, probably to join the Allies. He ends up in Dunkirk, France, where he embarks on the "Pavon" on 20 May. A few miles offshore, the ship is attacked and sunk by German aircraft. This tragedy costs the lives of 50 Dutch soldiers, including Bastiaan. His body washes ashore on Terschelling two and a half months later. Bastiaan de Zeeuw was only 24 years old.

- Cornelis Blaak is a KLM pilot during the pre-war Fokker era, where he mainly flies to Batavia and Bandoeng. During the war years, Cornelis is forced to fly for the KNILM on the Java-Australia airline. In February 1942 Cornelis and his Dakota has to make an emergency landing on South Sumatra. The crew is virtually unharmed, but falls into the hands of the hostile Sumatran and later the Japanese. As captain, Cornelis dies on the spot from injuries inflicted by natives. He has turned 43 years old.
