This small town cemetery is exceptionally well-maintained, and this is one of quite a few such markers that have been created either as a replacement for an original headstone, or where there was none. Here, the marker serves as an actual headstone, while George's name and that he lived but 20 hours are mentioned on the side of his mother's headstone next to him. This one is a square of tile on a concrete base, with what looks to be another piece of tile between it and a slab of granite. Judging by some apparent illustrations on that backing slab, it may be a repurposed headstone. The inscription, which was incised by hand and filled in with black paint, is fading a bit, and it reads:

George Conner
infant son of
John and Anna Conner
(lived only 20 hours)
Date of Birth: Unknown

Date of Death: Unknown
