An emotional-inducing mural by Hive Appeal is on the east wall of Unique Designs. The building is on the west side of Grand, between Vine and Mulberry. Three large red poppies are depicted with a yellow ribbon encircling their stems. A yellow circle near the top seems to depict a sun, the middle horizontal section is blue (sky), and the bottom is green (ground). It is approximately 10' high and 13' long.

From the Hive Appeal website:
This mural was inspired by the “In Flanders Fields” poem by John McCrae. He wrote the poem in 1915 as a memorial to soldiers who died in a battle fought in WWI in a region of Belgium called Flanders. The poem describes the poppies growing over their graves. Poppies are symbols of Remembrance Day, now Veterans Day in the US. The yellow ribbon is for those deployed, Prisoners of War, and Missing in Action.
