"A figure squats, head held in his hands in this dramatic steel sculpture by Mississippi artist Jason Kimes. This outdoor sculpture is made from coin-sized discs of corten steel which naturally weathers over time acquiring a beautiful rust-coloured patina. Kimes’ sculptures are designed to be subjects of contemplation. "Public art competes with every sound, color, movement, and any one of a thousand other distractions pulling a viewer's attention away from a still and quiet work of art." Jason Kimes He completed a BFA in Sculpture from the University of Southern Mississippi and a MFA in Sculpture from Southern Illinois University in 2005.
