The nature trail is gravel and paved on the north side of Polk Street. The boardwalk starts on the south side of Polk Street. It wanders through the Cypress forest along the Bayou. Keep left and it eventually dead ends. Reverse back to the "Y" and go left and it will take you to "T". The boardwalk ends at the "T" and the trail both left and right is gravel. If you go right you come out at a parking lot at Vale and Dallas Streets.
