This pathway (maintained by the National Capital Commission) is part of the Ottawa West Winter Trails (which total 15 kilometres). This section of ski trail is groomed by the Kanata Nordic Ski Club for skate skiers and traditional.
Before 1953, the path was a railroad. The ski trail here is straight and flat. Trail intersections to the south can take skiers to private trails in Wesley Clover Parks, trails maintained by the Kanata Nordic Ski Club. A pass is required to use those trails.
This trailhead is near the intersection of Moodie Drive and Corkstown Road. There is no lot. Carefully park your vehicle along Corkstown Road.
