Three stones, including a Mason-Dixon marker, made attempts to mark the southwestern corner of Delaware (then Pennsylvania). However, in the 1950s, a local farmer discovered an unaccounted for stone. This stone is now on display with the others.

Photos taken in September of 2019. This website gives a great detail as to what stone is which inside the enclosure. Taken from the link, "A local farmer said his grandfather found the stone in his field and thought it resembled the stones in the pavilion so he placed it there. It has no official significance but remains in place."

It's origin is unknown. Who placed it and what was it marking are unknown. Also, it is unknown if it predates any of the previous attempts prior to Mason and Dixon or if it a subsequent survey that just never made it into the history books. Either way, it's an interesting story about early American history.
