This monument was created by Liga dos Combatentes in cooperation with Loulé Municipality. The artist in charge was Ricardo Inácio, who created a panel depicting the story of the war and the people involved in it. Across the street there is a panel depicting a Portuguese Soldier. In the center of the roundabout there are a few plaques and three flag masts (without flags).
