The Blue Loop is 4.7 miles. The White Loop is 3.7 miles. Both begin at the top of Mount Nittany Road.

If you follow the Blue Loop, you will see seven scenic overlooks. Mike Lynch overlook offers a view of the Penn State campus. The others are the Boalsburg overlook, Little Flat overlook, Penns Valley overlook, Tom Smith overlook, Nittany Mall overlook, and the NorthWest overlook.

This hike has plenty of elevation change, but requires no special equipment. It is well marked. It is possible to change from blue to white at several points, to hike longer, or to visit more or less overlooks.

Hunting is permitted, but hikers are always welcome here.

Parking is available at the top of Mount Nittany Road.
