The Former United Reformed Church building, now home to the Eaton Masonic Hall, is located on Mill Street in Congleton.
Captain Jonathan Scott had the building constructed in 1790 as the United Reformed Church. In 1872 he had a new bigger church built in Antrobus Street and the building was sold to the Freemasons in 1877 and is now used as the Eaton Masonic Lodge.

Eaton Masonic Lodge No.533 was founded in 1846 by Bro. Gibbs Crawford Antrobus, of Eaton Hall, Grand Warden of the Province.
"During 1853-4 it was resolved to move the Lodge from the Golden Lion to the Bull's Head, its present abiding place. The annual subscription was slightly increased, and it was agreed that the quarterly supper should be paid for out of the Lodge funds." Source: (
