"The Lionsclub Arnhem is a senior men's club and currently has 34 members.
Men aged 55+ are most welcome. Most club members are retired and therefore have more time for activities. Their own networks are of course smaller. The strength of the club lies in material and intangible activities, among other things. (see projects).
The club members meet twice a month in De Westerbouwing in Oosterbeek.
Dinner is the 1st Monday of the month. This starts at 6:00 pm and is intended for current club affairs and decision-making after a good meal.
The 3rd Monday of the month starts at 8 p.m. Often there is a lecture by a club member or an external speaker. Sometimes a presentation by people who are invited to explain the intended charities.
Each Lions club is autonomous in its choice of how it wants to give shape and content to the Lions objectives. The strength of the Lions Club is above all that the synergy of combined skills and commitment of the members will always be greater than the ability of the individual members. Together they give meaning to the international Lions motto 'We serve'.
This also determines the atmosphere in the club. We feel connection and friendship."
