This 'Welcome to Selma' sign is located on the northeast side of town just off E. Anderson Street near the I-95 Interstate exchange in Selma, North Carolina. Their slogan is 'The Crossroads of Tradition and Innovation'. Selma was settled as a railroad town in 1867 and officially charted in 1873. The 2000 census population was 5,914. Although a small town, Selma has loads of charm and is a tourist destination for antiques.
