The 2nd of 3 separate sets of flood high water marks on the sidewalk east of the Interpretive center gives the visitor a mental picture of what all was under water here in the 1997 flood.

This high water mark is located on the sidewalk down to the fossil beds east of the Interpretive Center. It gives a stark visual reminder of how high the Ohio River got during the flood of 1997.
