The State Theatre was built in along the Dixie Highway US 31W in downtown Elizabethtown, about a block and 1/2 south of the Hardin County Courthouse.

Folks who wanted to watch the newest feature film would've use the Dixie Highway to come and go from this Art Deco theater which in 2022 is was still being used as a local concert venue, movie theater and entertainment center.
