The
AT&L Railroad, based right here in Watonga, began operation in 1985 on track formerly operated by the North Central Oklahoma Railway. The name of the company is formed from the first names of the founder's grandsons - Austin, Todd and Ladd. Caboose #1917 is on display in a parking lot on the east side of Highway 270 on the south side of town.
