This white marble sculpture of an angel writing with a quill pen in a book he has propped on his right knee adorns the grave marker of Robert Craig in Walnut Grove Cemetery. The sculpture is in excellent condition, and draws the eye immediately.
The sculpture is life-size and depicts a Victorian funerary motif of an angel writing the final lines in the deceased's book of life.
The tombstone reads as follows:

ROBERT CRAIG
Mar. 22, 1834
April 6, 1913"
