Op zaterdag 22 maart 2014 startten de buurtbewoners met het mozaieken van een Social Sofa, die vervolgens op vrijdag 11 april 2014 bij het Jaagpad aan de Oude Rijn is geplaatst en onthuld samen met wethouder van Tijl. De Social Sofa werd aangeleverd als een kale massieve betonnen bank van 1750 kg. Het ontwerp is gemaakt door Ell-is die met ons in de studio samenwerkt.
Veel gezellige uurtjes hebben we met buren en vrienden van de studio doorgebracht om de bank te beplakken met geknipte stukjes glasmozaiek. Het glasmozaiek heeft als groot voordeel nagenoeg 'hufterproof te zijn.

On Saturday 22 March 2014, the local residents started mosaicing a Social Sofa, which was then placed on Friday 11 April 2014 at the Jaagpad on the Oude Rijn and unveiled together with Alderman van Tijl. The Social Sofa was delivered as a bare solid concrete bench of 1750 kg. The design was created by Ell-is who works with us in the studio.
We have spent many pleasant hours with neighbors and friends from the studio to cover the sofa with cut pieces of glass mosaic. The glass mosaic has the great advantage of being virtually 'vandal-proof'
