Located on the corner of Charles and Dickinson Streets is the brown brick, and brown tiled former church. It has a 45° pitched roof, with plain coloured glass panes at the eastern end of the two-storey building in an inverted 'V', with two sets of six vertical glass panes at the western (street-entry) end. There is a small sloping awning over the northern side of the building; with a large section on the ground floor that is accessed from the off-street parking for the current multi-purpose Charlestown SDA Church.
The new SDA Church was built about 7 years ago, from talking with their current Pastor (Kim Parmenter); which is actually on THE same block as this 'Charlies Playgroup Preschool' centre.
