in vroegere tijden werd het drinkwater uit hygiënische redenen niet uit de gracht gehaald maar diep uit de grond omdat hier geen ziekmakende bacteriën in zaten na invoering van de waterleiding is deze in ongebruik geraakt

vanaf de Rijnstraat gaat u richting de hoofdpoort van het kasteel vanuit hier kijkt u naar de achterkant van het plein en ziet u de pomo staan
